AT LAST WEDDINGS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Why do I need a wedding planner?
Planning a wedding can take over 300 hours, leaving many couples overwhelmed and short on time. A professional wedding planner can provide valuable advice, recommend the best suppliers, and deliver the wedding of your dreams. With their expertise, a wedding planner can save time, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a seamless planning process.
  • Why do I need an On the Day Coordinator if my venue provides a venue coordinator?
An On the Day Coordinator will begin working on your wedding 1-2 months before the wedding date, as there is a lot of work to do in preparation for the big day such as confirming suppliers, wedding schedule, wedding timeline, etc. You can see here how our "On The Day Package" works. I also have a blog dedicated to this question where you can see all the differences between a on the day coordinator and a venue coordinator. Click here to find out more.

  • Why do I need a wedding planner if my venue has a coordinator?
We strongly recommend that couples consider hiring a wedding planner, even if the venue provides a coordinator. The venue coordinator should be solely dedicated to the venue itself, ensuring it's smooth operation and handling any issues that may arise. This includes managing all aspects of the venue, from catering, managing venue staff, to the cleanliness of restrooms and other important details. By focusing on the venue, the coordinator can provide expert support and attention, guaranteeing a flawlessly executed event space. Meanwhile, we are there to advocate for you if things go wrong and always have your best interests at heart! Although the venue coordinator will do their best to help and make sure things run smoothly on their end, they will probably not be helping if your bustle breaks, if one of the wedding suppliers doesn't show up, or making sure the DJ plays the right song at the right time. We are there to make sure that everything is executed to perfection and to avoid any wedding crisis.
  • Are you insured?
Yes! We're fully Insured with public liability insurance, including property damage, and personal liability insurance.
  • Do you have preferred wedding suppliers that you work with?
We created a preferred list of wedding suppliers who are exceptional at what they do and they represent the best in their respective fields. While we wholeheartedly recommend them, this is ultimately your wedding, and we respect your vision and preferences. This list is merely a curated collection of talent designed to make it easier for you to find the perfect suppliers for your big day. We believe in fostering creativity and collaboration, so we're always open to meeting and working with new suppliers who bring unique skills to the table. Let us know your vision, and we'll do everything we can to help you create the wedding of your dreams, whether it's with our recommended suppliers or someone entirely new! Please Note: We have a strict policy of not accepting commissions from any of our preferred suppliers. Our recommendations are based solely on merit and our own independent evaluation of their products, services, and reputation. By maintaining this policy, we can ensure that our couples receive the highest quality recommendations without any potential conflicts of interest. We believe that our integrity and commitment to providing impartial advice are essential to building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with our couples. Our couples can trust that our recommendations are made with their best interests in mind, without any hidden agendas or financial incentives influencing our decisions.

  • My Venue says I don't need a wedding planner because their venue coordinators takes care of everything, is this true?
Having a wedding planner is a necessity if you want to have a stress-free and seamless wedding, it's not just a luxury. You're probably thinking I'm biased and I get it, but believe me, you will thank me after you read this! You're venue coordinator has the venue’s best interest, they work for the venue, not for you. While a venue coordinator is an important part of any wedding day, their role is limited to the venue. They normally handle things such as setting up tables and chairs, coordinating their catering, and ensuring that the venue is clean and ready for the wedding. For example, if an issue arises on the wedding day or if the venue policies changes after you signed the contract, who is going to advocate for you? Or if the venue has changed their set up and no longer has the chairs you agreed to? A wedding planner is someone you hire and is your advocate and represents your best interests and is responsible for so much more, before and on your wedding day. We will act as your advocates throughout the entire wedding planning journey, safeguarding your interests and ensuring every detail aligns with your dreams. We manage your budget, create a comprehensive timeline, and handle any unforeseen obstacles that may arise, we handle suppliers communication and can act as mediators if any issues arise. On top of that, your wedding planner will help all wedding suppliers set up and will give them instructions and will update them if there's any last minute changes, such us if the guest count goes down or for example, if it's raining and the event needs to me moved indoors your wedding planner will inform all your wedding suppliers and all your guests beforehand. A professional wedding planner it's the best investment couples can make on their wedding day but it's ultimately up to you! If you want someone on the day to make sure everything goes as you've envisioned and you want your wedding to be as stress-free as it's humanely possible and you're getting married in The UK or Europe, our bookings are open for 2024, 2025 and 2026.
